In conjunction with the To All At Sea installation, we are delighted to launch some art competitions on the theme of 'weather' for all ages, generously enabled by The Outbuildings.

1 / THE FITZROY PRIZE / OPEN TO ALL ARTISTS

​

A competition on the theme of 'The Shipping Forecast'. We invite artists to respond in a contemporary way to the topic. All painting and drawing mediums are accepted with a maximum artwork size of 120cm in the largest dimension.

​

The prize will offer the winner a two week residency on Anglesey at The Outbuildings in February or March 2020, followed by an exhibition of works for sale by the artist with a drinks reception on the opening night.

2 / THE SCHOOLS PRIZE / OPEN TO JUNIOR AND HIGH SCHOOLS

​

A painting competition on the theme of 'Weather'. We invite school students to respond to the topic in a creative and original way. All painting and drawing mediums are accepted with a maximum artwork size of 100cm in the largest dimension.

​

There will be a prize of a painting workshop with Anthony Garratt for their class with one winning entrant being chosen from both a High School and Junior School. The winner will take home a demonstration painting by Anthony Garratt created during the workshop.

3 / THE OLDIES PRIZE / OPEN TO PEOPLE BORN BEFORE 1959

​

A painting competition on the theme of 'The Royal Charter Storm'. We invite 'Oldies' to respond to the topic in a creative and original way. All painting and drawing mediums are accepted with a maximum artwork size of 100cm in the largest dimension.

​

There will be a prize of a painting workshop with Anthony Garratt and a two night stay at The Outbuildings. The winner will take home a demonstration painting by Anthony Garratt created during the workshop.
